He shares how he branched away from the firm where he got his start to go out on his own when the time felt right while continuing to foster great relationships.

Alex touches on topics related to being a solo practitioner, and what it's like to be a solo practitioner who is fairly new to the practice of law. He advises how he manages the mental stress of the uncertainty related to the eb and flow of work, how he has always sought help when in unfamiliar territory, and the delicate balance of knowing when and when not to take a case.

We close out Part 1 of our conversation speaking about how he manages disputes when working with others by setting expectations.
