In Part 1 of our conversation, Rob talks to us about how and why he followed his gut by deciding to become a lawyer later in life after having retired from the Navy as an engineer. He shares with us some of the challenges he faced with this career shift, how he overcame them, along with why he started his own firm.

Rob additionally reveals how he dealt with the uncertainties associated with opening his own firm as a new attorney. We further discuss topics such as managing your state, the importance of mentorship, and  the perception of success
